Okay, this is my first post on this blog and to be honest, I never thought something of this nature would be my first. I was awake somewhere around midnight on the 23rd (January, 2012) when Japheth Omojuwa began to micro-blog all these–as his site was under construction–on twitter. In his own words; “I chose to share #breedingbokoharam late hour because to be up now means you most likely like scary movies”. But this isn’t another scary movie. This is what is happening around us. Everyone needs to know. Read…

In Borno, voters ask you for two major things; “give us water” and “fight drug abuse” yet politicians act helpless.

Boko Haram has millions of willing tools in the number of deprived children in Borno.

Boko haram will grow from strength to strength. Poverty breeds it, deprivation feeds it, and a clueless leadership cultivated it.

A 10-minute drive away from Maiduguri and you are totally out of civilization. These folks have been left alone.

JTF members unleash terror on the people, call them names and mess around with their women.

The president has never visited Maiduguri. it is easy to visit Kano. It is an influential emirate.

9-year old children in Borno are mostly drug addicts like their adult brothers. They are lost and forgotten

Before the mass media brought them to the fore, Boko Haram had killed hundreds and still does in Borno.

The Northeast barely got 3% of project spending by Nigeria’s Federal Government. South-south has 85%.

You think you know poverty? You don’t! Visit poverty, real absolute sheer poverty in Borno.

The state and federal government are breeding Boko Haram of tomorrow.

In Borno, JTF is a symbol of hatred. Can they solve a problem they don’t understand without the people’s help?

The politicians up there intentionally kept the people poor, uneducated and psychologically beaten.

I saw pictures of the children, of truth; I thought I was looking at children from the Somalian war.

While my contact related her story, she was visibly shaking. Shaken mostly by her experience with JTF.

My spirit hurts even as I heard the stories. The videos played in my head but imagine the real torture out there.

Calling Boko Haram attacks “dastardly act” and saying “full wrath of the law” means nothing.

The only time President Jonathan visited Maiduguri was to beg for their votes. God will judge.

The pain politicians have unleashed on our people only God can fairly reward them.

The past governor of the state is on the run from Boko Haram but they’ve had him in their hands several times.

Am I justifying Boko Haram? Only someone suffering from Goodluckism will say that. I am stating the truth.

JTF scares the people. They are more afraid of JTF than they are of Boko Haram. How can they help JTF?

Except the government see the problem clearly, Jonathan be right about “a burden we must live with”

How many poor children will turn down the opportunity to join Boko Haram for say even N200/day?

They sent 3 men to shake Ali modu. They then called to say 3 of their men were the ones that just shook hm.

They wanted Ali Modu to know if they wanted to kill him, he’d have been gone. Those 3 men were armed.

This is truth everyone knows or are afraid to say it or too blind to admit it. Truth is the key to liberty.

Our education has really failed. I am putting Boko Haram in its perspective and a graduate says I am justifying.

You can’t solve a problem you don’t understand. I still told my web master that today. Tell Jonathan too.

So today I sat there and saw pains, fury and sadness in the eyes of a beautiful lady and she shared stories.

As long as all realities I painted remain and the government’s nonchalant cluelessness stays, it’d be worse.

If only the president cared beyond squeezing his face for cameras at bomb sites…

I am certain those who wanted to do learn a thing or 2 about Boko Haram. I am still asking questions.
